Cantine Sant’Agata and Cavallero are lovers and enthusiasts of Ruchè, men ready to offer multiple perspectives to a vine in which they were among the first to invest.

It was 1982 when the Cavallero family decided to uproot a hectare planted with Barbera grapes and to plant the first Ruchè vineyard. Today this variety represents the identity of the company. It was the second generation, in the person of Franco Cavallero, who spread the culture of this wine with constant international exchanges and, of course, with the development of an adequate transformation center that led to a general modernization of the cellar, always in evolution, still today.

Cantine Sant’Agata have signed a pact of trust with Ruchè, certain of its potential. The company has seven Ruchè vineyards and, each of these, is harvested and vinified separately so that both the grapes and the territory can express the unique and typical characteristics of each vintage. From this idea, Ereditarium takes shape, the latest project Franco Cavallero is working on: the collection and selection of the best oenological expressions of Ruchè across time and territory.

And precisely, to preserve what is the greatest wealth of man and therefore the earth, Cantine Sant’Agata has always practiced integrated pest management and does not use chemicals for cultivation.

But that is not all. Cantine Sant’Agata is also the catering and production of botanicals for spirits for which the Cavallero family is internationally known, thanks above all to the great care given to the entire supply chain.
